Toolbox talks

6 November 2018 Please note the publication date on each article, as legislation and guidance can change over time and older content may no longer reflect the latest requirements.

A toolbox talk is a simple informal briefing given by experienced supervisors or operatives about a specified health and safety subject. This subject should be relevant to their work activities or related to an event or incident that may have a bearing on the site activities directly or indirectly, such as a near miss or accident.

Many of our clients have written controls expecting a toolbox talk to be completed on a regular basis, our advisors are finding inconsistencies in the frequency of completion.  Our advisors are more than happy to conduct a toolbox talk as part of their site attendance duties.  Please liaise with your advisor directly to arrange this is required or email – enquires@ccconsulting.uk.com
